Important Safety Note: If you have any protrusions in your mouth, there is no need to worry as these bumps are most likely harmless growths of extra bone called tori, but you should not do self-impressions. Tori are relatively uncommon and most people do not have them. You should ask your dentist if you have any tori that exist prior to doing self-impressions, and you should not do self-impressions if tori or similar protrusions exist, as it can negatively affect the outcome or lead to potential injury.
